  Keller,  TX
  National Elegant Ms. 2010-11

Greetings!  Just wanted to take a moment to share my weekend with you all!  I was honored to be asked to emcee the Crowns for the Cure Benefit Pageant for the Susan G Komen Foundation. My daughter Kirstin, North TX Sr. Hi Point Champion 2011, and I also ran a "Drink for the Cure" aluminum can drive.  We had 52 contestants and raised over $5,000!!! With the sponsor donations, raffle ticket sales, entry fees, optionals fees, aluminum cans donated & recycled, the photographer's donated proceeds, we actually pushed nearly $6,000!!!  This entire amount has gone straight to Susan G. Komen!!!
We're exhausted, but it was all worth it!  The next great benefit pageant coming up in North Texas is Forever Angels Benefit Pageant for the Rett's Syndrome Foundation on June 26, 2011.  This is a great cause!  Well worth traveling for!!!  Let me know if you need details!

Lots of Love,
Mary Hanna

  2010 National Elegant Ms.

Greetings!  I wrote this a week ago and I think it disappeared into cyberspace!  So, I'll write again!
Whew!  What a GREAT round of state pageants we've had down here in the south!  We started with workshops in Louisiana, North Texas and then South Texas.  I was excited to be a part of Louisiana and North Texas!  Then we started our pageanting!  We kicked it all off with our mighty Louisiana State Dream Girls USA Pageant where I LOVED meeting all the new girls AND debuted my new Mary Poppins Costume and Song Medley!  FUN!  Then we pageanted in South Texas where the competition was seriously tough!  Lots of new girls and some returning to compete for supreme, division and high point titles.  We reigning queens worked hard and LOVED it! We wrapped up April with North Texas where we were honored to welcome the Oklahoma State Royalty as well!  Our Louisiana/Texas/Oklahoma Dream Girls USA family is growing by leaps and bounds!
It was an exciting round of state pageants with all the new royalty including the NEW YAMI Royalty Supremes and Queen of Queens.  North Texas Dream Girls U.S.A. is especially close to my heart as it's where I won 2010 Sr. Hi Point Winner and from there went on to win National Elegant MS 2010!  This year was even MORE special (if you can imagine it) as I was awarded my TX state jacket (Thank you, Miss Sherry and Miss Sabrina!!!), gave my farewell speech and then CROWNED MY DAUGHTER, Kirstin Block, 2011 North TX Sr. Hi Point Winner!  It was thrilling beyond words to crown her!  That's 2 years in a row that the North TX Sr. Hi Point Title came home to this house!  We're planning to make it happen for her at Nationals this year, too!
Kirstin, my daughter, 2011 N TX Sr. Hi Point Winner AND the 1st ever N TX YAMI Queen of Queens 2011, and I have been very busy, hosting mini workshops to help new queens, running food drives for the Keller Community Storehouse, working various benefit pageants, and we are currently running a "Drink for the Cure" campaign to collect aluminum drink cans and can tabs to raise funds for the "Crowns for the Cure" Benefit Pageant for Breast Cancer Research.  Hard work, but WELL worth it!
Kirstin and I are SUPER excited for Sweet Sixteen Dream Girls USA National Pageant in St. Louis, MO in July, 2011!  This is Kirstin's (and her twin brother, Blake) Sweet Sixteen Birthday this year as well!  With her hard work, our family support, the love of all our Dream Girls U.S.A. queen sisters, and the luck of "sweet sixteen", we're hoping to ROCK NATIONALS for Texas AGAIN!

Well, off for now.  Sigh....a queen's work is never done!  Heard that there were fabulous Dream Girls U.S.A. state pageants all over the USA this spring.  Best of everything to ALL our reigning and new royalty!  See you in July!

Love, Mary

  National Elegant Ms 2010

Happy New Year, Everyone!  Just taking a moment to breathe as I wrap up my Community Service and Appearance Documentation to send off to Nationals for 2010!  I encourage all of you to do the same!  It's important not only, to keep a good record of all your Community Service, Appearances, and recruiting efforts, but to also make sure your state and national directors get copies and documentation of it all in a timely fashion!  DON'T wait til the last minute.  Have pity on your directors! lol  Let's not flood the state and national offices and drown our wonderful directors!
I have had an amazing 2010!  I started it off in March by winning North Texas High Point.  What a great pageant and a fun day!  I was in complete shock when I was crowned.  My excitement kept mounting as division after division was crowned and then supremes were being called and my name wasn't there! lol  After the last supreme title was called, I about fell off my chair when I realized there was only ONE title left for me to win! I think all the color must have drained from my face as I never DREAMED I would win high point!  Well, I did and I was so honored and happy!  Next was Nationals.  Whew!  What a whirlwind getting ready!

Nationals was like a dream! My daughter, Kirstin and I had the very best time traveling to St. Louis and sharing a room with Cyndi and Dayzee Tovar!  Decorating our door, registering, and getting ready to hit the ground running with introductory speeches and modeling!  Then formal wear and talent and YAMI! Then the big day....crowning.  I worked hard. I was prepared for nationals.  But you could have knocked me over with a feather when I was crowned National Elegant Ms. 2010.  And from that moment I have had the BEST time ever with my queen sisters, my daughter, my state director, Sherry Hubbard, and all the wonderful people I've met since!  I've enjoyed every moment of Community Service and Appearing as National Elegant Ms 2010!  I will be a Dream Girl USA for life.  But if I never have another title, I will treasure this year for the rest of my life!  And my reign is not even over yet!  It's gonna be very hard to beat 2010, though, I have to say!

So, get those referrals in!  Get your Community Service in!  Get your Appearances in!  We're gearing up for some ROCKIN' state pageants and a seriously SWEET 16 National Pageant!  You never know WHAT sweet surprises Mr Al and Miss Melissa have in store for us this year!  I can't wait to see you all there and hug EVERY ONE of you!  Enjoy your reign with all your heart OR become a Hometown Queen TODAY and start your incredible journey with DREAM GIRLS USA!!!

Love, Mary

  National Elegant Ms 2010

Hello, Girls n' Gals!  Wow.  What a great 2 months I've had since I won my national title!  It was such a surprise and an honor to be crowned National Elegant Ms 2010 at the 15 year Dream Girls USA Anniversary Pageant!
I started my reign with our local Keller Lion's Club Fair parade in August.  I was joined by National Mother/Daughter/Daughter Supreme's Tracy Olson, Amanda Minsky, and Sophia Schooley, National Tiny Miss Dayzee Tovar (and my dear friend, her mother, Cyndi!) Texas Royalty Supreme Kirstin Block, my daughter, Texas Baby Miss Victoria Pena (and her sweet Mamma), Teen Miss Texas Madelaine Ruyle (thanks to her family for the truck and trailer!), National Alumni Queen Marilyn Dempsey (with her FABULOUS mom, Kathleen), and local Louisiana West Monroe Elegant Ms Joleyne Pike with her lovely daughter Jr Miss Teen Texas Angelina Pike.  THAT was a royalty loaded float!!!  We threw out loads of Dream Girls USA labeled candy and Cyndi Tovar was a trooper handing out info cards! It was hot.  But we Queens were hotter! lol
Then, I was honored to judge the Keller Lion's Club Fair Pageant two nights in a row!  So fun and what adorable girls!
I LOVED being at the Texas Rangers Ballgame in crown and banner.  It's true that royalty has it's benefits...hehe....
September brought the Forever Angels Rett Syndrome Benefit Pageant!  I have enjoyed being a part of it for 3 years now, but was truly excited to emcee the pageant this year.  There were 46 contestants and $5,200+ was raised for the International Rett Syndrome Foundation!  Meeting the young girls with Rett's Syndrome was such a touching experience.  I thank Tracy, Amanda, and Sophia for putting this pageant together every year.
In October, I'll be traveling to Louisiana to be with Sherry and Sabrina Hubbard at the Louisiana Dream Girls USA workshop.  I'm really looking forward to that trip with my darling daughter, Kirstin, 2010 Texas Royalty Supreme!
Then in November, I'm flying to Kansas City to emcee and perform at a scholarship Winterfest Pageant for a very dear friend who puts this pageant together every year.  I'm excited to know we're raising scholarship for young girls to further their educations!!!
December is the month for Christmas Parades!! woohoo!  All National, State, and Local Dream Queens who can make it are invited to help us build a float to ride in the Keller Holly Days Parade.  I'm looking for other parade opportunities and would appreciate any tips I can get!
I love being a Dream Queen.  It really has been so amazing these last three years getting to know all my Dream Girls USA sisters!  It's a great family, one that is growing every year!  I truly love my Dream Girls USA sisters and their families.  They have enriched my life and I wouldn't trade this time in my life for anything!
So, go out and do something good for someone today...right now!  You won't regret it and you'll be a better person for it!

All my love,
Your reigning National Elegant Ms. 2010,
Mary E Hanna.....**hugs**

Please ask everyone to say some prayers. . . and to be sure to watch! The performance is live and is going out to MILLIONS of viewers, so I need ALL the prayers I can get! Hugs and much love!!!     : )   I Miss You ALL!!!!

Taylor Anne Stefanski
Racine, Wi.
 National Supreme Spokesmodel

Congratulations to Taylor Anne Stefanski for a successful run as ANNIE in the Shorewood Players production! It was so exciting to see her on stage in the role that she has always wanted to play.  (yep.. Mom got a tear in her eye every night! it was THAT good!).  Watch for glimpses of Taylor Anne on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT too! She auditioned in Chicago and was shown on TV wearing her Dream Girls National Crown last week! Hopefully she will be shown more on the Chicago audition show. (They had remembered her instantly at auditions and asked "Are you the girl who was Peter Pan last year?" and then puller her aside, interviewed her three times and taped her singing twice. They also had her do promos for the show with everyone crowded behind her as she said CHICAGO'S GOT TALENT! and WELCOME TO CHICAGO'. Tay sang PRINCESS LUCILLE from Junie B Jones and wore one of her national gowns and her beautiful National Crown, so she really stood out from the crowd!
Taylor is keeping her summer rolling with her next role as ARIEL in THE LITTLE MERMAID with THE RACINE KID PLAYERS.....
and especially with her upcoming trip to Dream Girls USA Nationals and YAMI NATIONALS in St Louis!

Cant wait to see all our friends again!
Good luck to you all!

Congratulations to Taylor Anne on her first Film role!
She has been cast in a short film called THE BULLY which begins filming in March. Its a small role, but competition at auditions was tough, so she was happy to be cast.

Amanda, Sophia, & I had the pleasure of holding our 3rd annual Forever Angels benifit pageant On October 17th! The International Rett Syndrome Foundation paid for our Venue at the Hilton in Irving, Texas. We had 40 contestants & raised close to $4000.00 to help find a cure for Rett Syndrome!! Here is a special message from the Mother of one of our contestants with Rett Syndrome. Her name is Brianna & she was so brave doing a pageant for the very 1st time! Her beautiful smile warmed all of our hearts!

Taylor Anne Stefanski   2009 National Supreme Spokesmodel

I want to wish TAYLOR ANNE STEFANSKI 2009 National Supreme Spokesmodel the best of luck at the opening weekend of First Stage Childrens Theatre's production of JUNIE B JONES AND A LITTLE MONKEY BUSINESS!  It is a great musicale based on the Junie B Jones books.
Taylor is one of the principals... she is LUCILLE (the prissy stuck up friend of Junie's who wants to grow up to be a Princess!)  Taylor has a huge solo called PRINCESS LUCILLE where she sings about  what life would be like if she grew up to be an AMERICAN PRINCESS!
"When I get to be a real american princess, I might let my friends clean my castle for me
wait and see and while they're busy cleaning the spotlight I'd steal
When I'm Princess LUCILLE!" Her number stops the show!!!
The show has been running all week for school shows and opens this weekend to the public. Taylor has 30 some more shows in the 5 week run.  If anyone is interested, check out www.firststage.orgTaylor was also excited to be cast in MIRACLE ON 34TH ST at The Racine Theater Guild. The show will run for 3 weeks before Christmas (I was cast also.... as Taylor's MOM!)
I love to see Taylor onstage... following her dreams!
Thank you all (especially Miss Melissa and Mr Al) for all the encouragement and support over the years!  It has given Taylor the confidence she needs to go out there and get the roles she wants!!

Lori Stefanski~ Proud Mom!

 Hello...I'm Linda Franchini from Missouri
I entered Dream Girls USA with some hesitation at first...  Was I crazy to enter a pageant
at the age of 57?  Well, I was treated with nothing but respect and kindness by the State Directors and the State contestants!  I had a wonderful time. I was amazed when my name was called for the Missouri Dream Girls USA Overall Spokesmodel title.  I then attended the Nationals expecting nothing but to have a great time... There were 256 contestants and I was number 255! I was amazed at all the contestants and in the Classic Ms. Division. They were of age range from 41 up to about 70 years of age.  We were made to feel as valued as any contestant.  Everyone treated us with kindness and respect. I really felt like I was special. I even had a little girl ask me for my autograph. When they called me out as the new 2009-2010 National Classic Ms. Queen, I nearly fainted.  But, it didn't stop there, that I, a 57 year old could make it to the top 15 for the Overall Hi-Point Queen was a testament to the Dream Girls USA Program.  They really are looking for the total package. I left that pageant feeling like a Queen and having memories to last me a lifetime. You really are NEVER too old to have a dream and
to achieve it. Thank you Dream Girls USA for giving us "Classic Women" a pageant of distinction to compete in.  I am proud to be one of your queens....

Hello Miss Melissa,
Chayna is really enjoying being a National Queen with Dream Girls USA!  So far, Chayna has handed out trophies at a Talent Showcase which aired on our Local TV station.  She has worked on a St. Jude's Fundraiser with Miss Memphis USA and they were filmed for a documentary on St. Judges and has had her picture in the newspaper.  The Queen also gave her tickets to the "New Kids on the Block" concert where Chayna got a lot of fun Celebrity pictures taken including with Alexis Grace from American Idol.  Chayna even wore her sash to the concert and she is meeting so many people. She is having a blast and will have memories to last a lifetime!
We hope to bring more girls to the Tennessee State next year and for it to continue to grow!
Tell your family Hello and thank you!
